The Role:
As a BIM Technician specializing in wastewater projects, you will play a crucial role in supporting the design and implementation of cutting-edge projects using Building Information Modelling (BIM) software and methodologies. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our engineering team to develop BIM models and documentation for wastewater projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Utilize BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM 360 to generate precise and detailed construction drawings.
- Perform clash detection and coordination of design elements, resolving conflicts to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Help develop and implement BIM standards, protocols, and workflows specific to the wastewater department.
- Engage with multidisciplinary teams, facilitating effective information exchange and seamless project coordination.
- Support project managers in delivering projects within specified timelines and budgets, contributing to successful outcomes.
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure compliance with company and industry standards, upholding our commitment to excellence.
- Stay at the forefront of BIM technologies and methodologies, sharing knowledge with the team to foster continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and efficient project execution.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a BIM Technician, with a strong preference for those experienced in wastewater projects.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
- Solid understanding of wastewater engineering principles, terminology, and construction practices.
- Strong knowledge of BIM standards, protocols, and best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail, producing accurate and precise drawings that uphold our high standards.
- Effective communication skills, fostering collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in clash detection, coordination, and clash resolution processes.
- Familiarity with Irish regulations and standards related to wastewater projects (desirable).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
