Our client is a renowned engineering consultancy known for delivering top-notch structural engineering solutions. They’re currently on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced CAD Technician to join their well established environment and planning team in any of their 5 offices across Ireland. This is a permanent role and offers the successful candidate long-term opportunities for career development in the areas of drafting, 3D modelling and Design.
Responsibilities:
- Generate detailed drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop 2D layouts and plans in adherence to planning guidelines.
- Verify drawing accuracy and conformity to standards against project inputs.
- Collaborate with clients and the Design Team to ensure high-quality project delivery.
- Maintain disciplined record-keeping and organize drawings and files.
- Assist with various project tasks in the office and on-site, including printing and collation of planning application drawings and documents.
Skills And Experience:
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2/3D software.
- Ideally, possess 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- GIS experience would be advantageous.
- Previous experience in a consultancy environment is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal in English).
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Versatile, a team player, and committed to delivering top-notch service.
- Outstanding time management skills, capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.
Your Qualifications:
- Hold a degree in civil/structural engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Be a member of a recognized Engineering professional body.
