Are you looking for a new and exciting opportunity within one of Ireland’s leading Consulting Engineering firms? Our client is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to join a growing team in Dublin. This role will be a hybrid model with some site work required.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive designs for mechanical and electrical systems in construction projects.
  • Collaborate with architects and other engineers to integrate MEP systems into overall building plans.
  • Implement energy-efficient solutions and sustainable practices in MEP system design.
  • Consider renewable energy sources and technologies to optimize energy use.
  • Manage MEP aspects of projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of MEP systems.
  • Ensure that all mechanical and electrical systems adhere to local building codes and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a degree or master’s in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Accumulated over 3 years of experience in mechanical and electrical consultancy and design.
  • Expertise and familiarity with:
    • Mechanical systems.
    • Electrical installations and safety.
    • Conducting site and project work.
    • Performing site and project inspections and assessments.
    • Scoping and estimating costs for M&E equipment upgrade projects.
    • Water and wastewater infrastructure.
    • Knowledge of renewable energy, particularly solar and wind technologies.
    • Proficiency in report writing.
    • Experience in client interactions and submissions.
  • Strong knowledge and awareness of Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Possession of a full driving license and access to a personal vehicle.

Experience in all these areas is not a requirement to apply for the position, further on the job training will be provided.
