A well-established environmental consultancy is seeking Energy & Sustainability Engineers to join their team. What You Will Do:
- Conduct energy audits to SI-426/599 standards or equivalent.
- Perform energy reviews and develop energy baselines.
- Assist private and public sector clients in developing pathways to achieve their energy reduction and decarbonization goals, targets, and energy performance indicators (EPI).
- Lead or assist in energy management activities including data analysis, project scoping, project design, and project management.
- Identify, analyze, design, cost, and project manage energy conservation and decarbonization measures.
- Prepare quality technical reports for companies, environmental agencies, and government bodies.
- Liaise with consultants, sub-contractors, and various third-party contributors to projects.
- Project manage in accordance with H&S and budgetary requirements.
- Contribute to other projects as needed.
- Ensure that Quality Management System, H&S, and Environmental standards are implemented and maintained on projects.
What You Need to Have:
- Degree in Energy Engineering, Sustainable Engineering, Building Services, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in ESG/Sustainability programs and management.
- Experience in stakeholder management.
- Project management experience.
- Knowledge of current best practices in sustainable technologies.
- Proficiency in English (both written and oral).
- Full clean driving licence.
- Eligibility to permanently work in Ireland without any restrictions.
- Excellent computer and data analysis skills.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with various funding mechanisms available to clients, e.g., SEAI’s SSRH, CEG, Microgen schemes, SSEA, etc.
- Knowledge of relevant Building Regulations.
Nice to Haves:
- Qualification in sustainability or energy management.
- Certified Energy Manager, Certified Energy Auditor, or Chartered Energy Manager.
- Membership in a recognized professional body (e.g., Engineers Ireland, CIBSE, EI).
- Domestic and non-domestic BER Assessor.
- IES modeling experience.
- Relevant MSc degree.
- Experience in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Lighting, and Renewables.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or related technical drawing software.
