We are currently recruiting for a Senior Environmental Consultant to join our client’s Environmental Compliance Team. This full-time, permanent position offers flexibility in terms of location, with options to be based at our offices in Dublin or Wexford. As a Senior Environmental Consultant, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Offer professional consultancy services to clients, focusing on environmental performance and compliance.

  • Provide technical expertise for the preparation of environmental consent applications, environmental support services, and various environmental projects and reports.

  • Design and conduct audits of Environmental Management Systems.

  • Perform environmental inspections and audits, including site visits and verification audits of statutory returns.

  • Supervise, mentor, and manage junior team members and sub-consultants to ensure project requirements are met.

  • Contribute to other projects undertaken by the company, such as studies, reports, and policy-level submissions.

  • Report project performance to the Technical Director.

  • Engage in consultation and liaison with statutory and non-statutory bodies, local authorities, government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders on a project basis.

  • Fulfill any additional duties assigned by the company’s Directors.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following attributes as a minimum:

  • Hold a Third Level Degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related discipline.

  • Have approximately 5 years of professional experience in consulting, waste management, environmental, or a similar sector.

  • Demonstrate technical expertise in Environmental Compliance, Waste Management, and environmental auditing and reporting.

  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of Environmental and Waste Management Legislation.

  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in high-level communications and correspondence.

  • Demonstrate strong report writing skills and the ability to interpret environmental reports, data, and technical drawings.

  • Possess chartered membership of CIWM, IEMA, CIWEM, or other related professional memberships (desirable).

  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications.

  • Hold a full clean driving license, as occasional travel throughout Ireland may be required.
