Title: Environmental Consultant
Location: Dublin City with travels across Ireland (hybrid)
Work Arrangement: Full-time & Permanent
Salary Range: €32,000 – €42,000 DOE
Job Purpose:
The role holder will lead the delivery of a range of diverse environmental projects to existing and future clients. The Environmental Consultant will be instrumental in the successful delivery of client services to:
- Actively participate in the delivery of a range of client projects.
- Conduct compliance and inspection activities on behalf of public sector clients across a range of environmental regulations and legislation related to waste, water, circular economy and energy use.
- Review and interpret technical literature such as legislation, guidance & policy documents and research papers.
- Produce project outputs (e.g., technical progress reports, specifications) meeting all client and legislative requirements.
- Support key clients with technical input, advice and training on a wide range of environmental areas.
- Stakeholder engagement to agree and follow up on corrective action.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports, environmental incident investigation reports and case file management.
- Support on delivery of other, multi-annual contracts as required.
- Maintain an excellent understanding of relevant environmental legislation.
- Client engagement throughout the lifecycle of projects, providing timely and relevant progress updates as appropriate.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team environment, in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities and deadline pressures.

Required Skills and Experience:
- 2-3 years experience within the environmental and waste sector.
- A minimum of NFQ level 8 in a relevant environmental discipline.
- Project management experience, including overseeing audit and inspection plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team environment, in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities and deadline pressures.
- Ability to gather and analyse facts, draw conclusions, define problems and suggest solutions.
- Experience in managing client relationships, understanding their challenges and ambitions and delivering on growth opportunities.
- A full clean driver’s licence is desired.
