Environmental, Health & Safety Manager
Location: County Cavan
Working Arrangement: Hybrid – 4 days per week on site
Salary: €70,000 – €80,000
Contract: Permanent
Overview:
An established manufacturing organisation is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Manager to lead all environmental, health and safety activities across a regulated production facility. The successful candidate will ensure legislative compliance, maintain management systems and foster a proactive safety culture while acting as the key contact for regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health & Safety legislation and environmental licence requirements.
  • Act as the primary contact for regulatory inspections, audits and external stakeholders.
  • Develop, implement and continuously improve EHS policies, procedures and management systems.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Provide expert guidance and training to management and employees.
  • Manage internal audit programmes and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and related management systems.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor KPIs and drive improvements in environmental and safety performance.
  • Support licence compliance, environmental reporting and regulatory submissions.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related discipline.
  • Experience managing EPA-licensed or similarly regulated industrial facilities.
  • Previous experience in an EHS Manager role.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
