Gaia Talent is actively recruiting for an Environmental Consultant to join our client’s expanding Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team. Your role:
As an EIAR Consultant, you will play a vital role in the development and execution of impactful environmental projects. Responsibilities:
Author chapters of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and other environmental projects.
Provide input into the design stage of projects from an environmental perspective.
Collaborate with project teams and attend meetings as required.
Ensure deliverables meet high-quality standards and comply with relevant legislation and best practices.
Deliver exceptional client service by completing work on time and to a high standard within project deadlines.

It’s essential to demonstrate:
Third-level qualification in environmental science, ecology, environmental engineering, or related fields.
Possess a minimum of one year of working experience in a similar position in the Irish Environmental/Ecological/Renewable/Engineering sector.
Understanding of the Irish planning system.
Familiarity with European and Irish environmental legislation.
Experience in EIAR/Planning/Construction stages of projects.
Comprehensive knowledge of EIAR and have previously authored EIAR chapters.
Assess the environmental impact of proposed developments.
Take ownership of projects from inception to completion and provide regular progress reports.
Report to the Technical Director on workflows and deliverables.
Prioritize projects, manage client expectations, and meet project deadlines.

It’s desirable, but not essential:
Professional membership in relevant organizations such as MIEEM, MIEMA, MRUP, MIPI, CIWEM, or Engineers Ireland.
