Gaia Talent is looking to recruit a Junior/Graduate Ecologist to build your Ecological career with one of Ireland’s top Consultancies in the country with over 20 years of diverse experience in the terrestrial, marine and freshwater environments. This is an excellent opportunity to join this great Consultancy that has recently become part of a huge global consultancy that brings a whole other level of possibilities for new employees offering exceptional career development and training.

Ideally this role is based in County Clare, Ireland so it’s important that you’re in this area or are willing to commute/relocate. If you’re not, County Cork & County Dublin can be considered as well.

What you will be doing:

  • You’ll take part of Ecological site surveys across Ireland;

  • Being responsible for identifying species on various ways;

  • Will be part of vantage point surveys;

  • Will be involved in report writing such as Ecological Impact Assessments.

What we expect from you:

  • You have experience with species identification of Bats from Ireland and the UK whether it be volunteer work, internships, degree, masters, researches or seasonal work;

  • You’re covered with a full driver’s license;

  • Doesn’t matter where you are from – but you have a valid visa which allows you to work full time in Ireland.

What’s a plus:

  • Experience conducting vantage point surveys and writing ecological reports;

  • Experience with GIS.
