ISO 50001 Lead Assessor

Responsibilities:
- Conducting independent and objective assessments to evaluate client compliance with ISO Standards.
- Identifying control weaknesses and opportunities for process improvement during audits.
- Preparing and delivering detailed assessment reports following each audit.
- Communicating audit findings to clients’ management teams and ensuring effective implementation of corrective actions.
- Responding to client technical requests promptly and professionally.
- Managing diary schedules and performing administrative tasks associated with the role.
- Collaborating professionally with clients, colleagues, and senior management.
- Working closely with direct managers, team members, and various departments.
- Participating in operational meetings as required.
Essential Experience:
- Holding a third-level qualification with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an energy management role.
- Completion of a recognised lead assessor course for ISO 50001, along with experience in EnMS auditing and energy audits (e.g., ESOS).
- Membership of a professional body (e.g., AEE or Energy Institute) and possession of a recognised energy certification such as Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) or Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
- Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining management systems (ISO 50001, ESOS, or equivalent).
- A solid understanding of challenges and opportunities within professional services; consultancy or managed services experience is advantageous.

- Self-motivated with exceptional time management and organisational abilities.
- The ability to remain calm and measured in handling confrontation.
- A flexible approach, global mindset, and willingness to travel across Ireland, the UK, and overseas.
- A full, clean driver’s licence.
