Job Summary:

Join our client, a leading consultancy specializing in the Ecological sector, as a Junior/Graduate Ecologist. This role offers an exciting opportunity to launch your career in the ecological field. Based in County Clare, with potential assignments in County Cork or County Dublin, you will gain valuable experience in ecological site surveys, species identification, and report writing, including Ecological Impact Assessments.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in ecological site surveys and assist with data collection.

  • Demonstrate expertise in species identification, with a focus on local birds and bats.

  • Contribute to report writing, specifically Ecological Impact Assessments.

  • Utilize GIS software for data analysis and, if applicable, conduct vantage point surveys.

  • Collaborate closely with the team to ensure project success.

  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines during fieldwork.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of local birds and/or bats.

  • Full driver’s license and ability to travel to survey sites.

  • Valid visa to work in Ireland.

  • Proficiency in GIS software is advantageous.

  • Experience conducting vantage point surveys is advantageous.

  • Enthusiasm for the ecological sector and a desire to learn.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
