We are seeking an experienced Lead Structural Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will manage structural engineering aspects across diverse projects, including commercial, residential, healthcare, and industrial developments for both public and private clients. This role will suit a proactive, detail-oriented individual comfortable with leadership and collaboration in fast-paced project environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead structural design within multidisciplinary teams, ensuring technical excellence.
  • Conduct site inspections and prepare comprehensive design calculations, specifications, and project reports for planning, tender, and construction stages.
  • Coordinate with CAD and REVIT technicians to produce accurate, high-quality drawings.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, maintaining direct communication and organizing regular project meetings.
  • Prepare contract documentation and manage budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Oversee the certification processes, fulfilling roles such as Assigned Certifier and Ancillary Certifier.
  • Support the preparation of tenders and proposals for new projects.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Level 8) in Civil/Structural Engineering; a Master’s or Chartered status is advantageous.
  • Demonstrable experience in structural design, with expertise in Eurocodes and British Standards.
  • Proven track record in diverse project types, including residential, commercial, and renewable energy.
  • Proficiency in structural design software, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office; knowledge of MicroStation, Rebar, and drainage software is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
