We are seeking a Principal Engineer to join our client’s Energy team based in Cork or Dublin, with hybrid working option also. This key role will contribute to the growth of the Energy and Planning division and involve close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of professionals. The position provides broad exposure across the Energy and Planning sector, including project management, environmental assessment, and preliminary design of renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation and approval of technical reports

Plan and oversee design work in coordination with project teams

Prepare tenders and proposals for new opportunities

Provide line management and mentoring to junior staff

Ensure compliance with quality assurance systems and health and safety regulations

Coordinate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders

Manage and maintain strong client relationships
Required Qualifications & Skills:

Degree in Civil Engineering

Minimum of 12 years post-graduate experience

Chartered Engineer (CEng) status

Experience in project management and preliminary civil design for renewable energy projects (preferred but not essential)

Strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills

Proven experience working with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors
