As an Environmental Consultant (Permitting), you will take charge of environmental permitting projects while drawing on your expertise and insights. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the delivery of diverse environmental permitting projects.

  • Utilizing your consultancy experience to handle permit applications, variations, and regulatory negotiations.

  • Employing appropriate tools for environmental impact assessment, such as D1 Calculations, H1 Software Tool, SCAIL, and ADMS.

  • Conducting reviews of plant, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with best available techniques (BAT).

You bring a strong academic and professional foundation, including:

  • An Honours or Masters’ Degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, or related physical sciences.

  • A full U.K. driving license with a clean record.

  • Professional charterships would be a distinct advantage.

Your consultancy experience aligns with:

  • Environmental permitting applications and variations (e.g., Industrial Emissions Directive, PPC/EPR/IPC).

  • Regulatory engagement with authorities like SEPA, EA, NIEA, and EPA.

  • Environmental impact assessment using tools like D1 Calculations, H1 Software Tool, SCAIL, and ADMS.

  • Evaluation of best available techniques (BAT) for plant, equipment, and processes.
