Our client is seeking to hire a Principal Project Manager specializing in Civil and Environmental Engineering. This position is intended to become a part of the waste management and environmental division, and it offers opportunities to work in their offices located in Cork, Carlow, or Dublin.
You would be joining one of Ireland’s biggest Irish owned consultants with centers of excellence in Civil Infrastructure, Waste & Resource Management and Renewables.

About the role:

This position is ideally suited for candidates with at least 15 years of experience. The successful candidate will become part of a well-established company and will have the chance to expand their current skill set and gain diverse experiences. This role provides exposure to various project types within the company, such as significant waste management infrastructure development, public realm projects, urban development initiatives, and renewable energy projects. FT also offers a transparent career development path, with opportunities to advance to Associate and Director roles for the successful candidate.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a Civil and/or Environmental Engineering degree or a related field and holding the status of a Chartered Engineer.
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience after completing graduate studies in design and project management.
  • Experience with Oral Hearings is considered advantageous.
  • Proficiency in multi-disciplinary design management.
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging with clients, external stakeholders, and sub-consultants.
  • Track record in budget creation and management.
  • A high-energy professional with exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Displays flexibility and excels as a team player.
  • Works efficiently, showing initiative and independence.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings.
  • Holds a valid full driving license.
