A leading energy solutions company is seeking a Senior Energy Engineer to lead large-scale commercial energy efficiency feasibility studies and manage our auditing team. This key role requires extensive knowledge in building services, M&V, and energy efficiency, ideally with qualifications such as IPMVP or CEM. Responsibilities include conducting detailed energy studies (SI426, ESG, ISO 50001, and 14001), managing energy efficiency projects, working with clients to tailor projects to their needs and budgets, and aligning grant funding. Mentoring and developing junior engineers is also a critical aspect of this position.

This is a remote role, but candidates must be based in Ireland and possess a driver’s license for client site visits and in-person monthly training events.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead energy audits and feasibility studies (SI426, ESG, ISO 50001, and 14001).
  • Coordinate with contractors for site visits and obtain project quotations.
  • Develop financial justifications for energy efficiency projects and present them to clients.
  • Engage with clients and manage key stakeholder relationships.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers in their development.
  • Deliver engaging training sessions to junior engineers.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Energy, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, with at least 7 years of experience in building services, M&V, or energy efficiency.
  • Ideally certified in IPMVP/CEM, with a proven track record in Renewable Energy, Energy Management, and Efficiency Audits.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong client management skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.
  • Strong communication skills, with proficiency in Office 365.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Leadership skills and a passion for mentoring the next generation of engineers.
