This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Hydrographic Surveyor, to join a dynamic company specializing in data acquisition, analytics and consultancy to support offshore renewable energy development. You will be based in Co. Cork, the role will involve hydrographic data collection as well as system calibrations and maintaining good working order of all equipment.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Acquisition and management of hydrographic data
- Maintaining quality control
- Mobilising, calibrating, and maintaining equipment
- Assisting with data processing while offshore or in our offices
- Overseeing junior survey teammates
Essential
- Four years’ experience in hydrographic surveying
- Degree in hydrography or other relevant marine science
- Experience with modern hydrographic equipment
- Knowledge of GNSS and INS systems
- Experience with acquisition and processing software
- Ability to work offshore
- Ability to travel within the EU
Desirable
- Ability to assist with geophysical data collection
- Experience with offshore wind energy
- Logically minded with critical thinking ability
