Please note: This position is remote inside Ireland. Applicants MUST be based in Ireland and possess previous working experience in the Irish Ecological Sector to be considered.

Embark on an exciting journey with a leading Irish Ecological Consultancy, part of the global RSK Group, to establish a Marine Ecology Team in 2024. We are in search of a highly motivated and experienced Senior Marine Ecologist to lead this dynamic team, playing a pivotal role in its development and success.

Responsibilities:
Team Leadership – Assemble, lead, and manage the Marine Ecology Team, fostering collaboration and innovation to achieve ecological goals.
Project Management – Oversee the team’s involvement in significant projects, including the Interconnector between Ireland and France and marine surveys for the Marine Institute in Ireland.
Ecological Expertise – Bring extensive ecological knowledge to the team, providing strategic guidance on marine ecology aspects to ensure high standards of environmental impact assessments and sustainable practices.
Collaboration – Work closely with marine specialists from the RSK Group, promoting cooperation and knowledge exchange to maximize the team’s effectiveness.
Timely Delivery – Ensure all marine ecology projects are completed within established timelines, meeting or exceeding client expectations.

Qualifications:
Master’s or Ph.D. in Marine Ecology, Biology, or a related field.
Minimum of 6 years working in a marine environment.
Proven experience in marine ecology, preferably in a consultancy environment in the Irish Ecological sector.
Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Excellent knowledge of Ireland’s marine environment and ecosystems.
Proficiency in ecological assessment methodologies and regulatory requirements.
Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable practices.
