As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the design and delivery of complex building services projects across various sectors (science, industry, technology, etc.).
- Developing innovative and sustainable mechanical solutions, including net-zero carbon principles, embodied carbon analysis, and circular economy strategies.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, clients, and other specialists, to ensure smooth project integration.
- Mentoring and developing junior team members, fostering a culture of growth and learning.
- Coordinating with contractors to oversee successful delivery and commissioning of mechanical installations.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- At least 8 years of post-qualification design experience, primarily in a consultancy setting.
- Previous design experience in data center projects.
- Familiarity with the Irish or UK market.
Preferred Attributes
- Chartered Engineer status (or near-chartered) with a strong track record in delivering innovative mechanical engineering solutions.
- Solid understanding of Irish building regulations (including BCAR) and relevant industry standards.
- Experience managing contractors and overseeing on-site work, including commissioning and maintenance activities.
- Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
