This position would be suited to an experienced individual who is capable of leading complex design projects in high hazard industries, both technically and administratively. Our clients preference is for someone with experience across a broad range of sectors to support their wide-ranging list of clients e.g. food and drink, chemical, pharmaceutical. Experience in the distilling sector would be viewed favourably.
As a Senior/Principal Process Engineer with our client, you will play a crucial role in optimising and developing their manufacturing processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness of their production methods. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving our clients projects to success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the organization’s output, quality, and cost goals.
- Identify and resolve process bottlenecks and recommend changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process.
- Lead and manage projects with functional or cross-functional teams, ensuring timely and effective completion.
- Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced engineers.
- Develop and implement process control strategies to improve process reliability and product quality.
- Collaborate with R&D, quality assurance, and production teams to develop and scale new products.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in process engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or principal role.
- Proven track record of successfully leading process improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and statistical analysis tools.
