Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Project Environmental Scientist to join our Environmental Science team. As a key member of our team, you will play an integral role in expanding our environmental business and collaborating closely with fellow professionals. This position offers exposure to various areas within the waste management and environmental sectors, including planning and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAR), waste management, infrastructure development, waste licensing and permits, industrial emissions licensing, and environmental due diligence.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with senior staff to deliver assigned workloads.
Manage the entire project lifecycle, from conception to execution.
Ensure all deliverables meet expected quality levels and are delivered on time and within budget.
Coordinate and complete Environmental Impact Assessments, Strategic Environmental Assessments, Appropriate Assessments, planning application documentation, and other environmental assessment/monitoring reports.
Provide technical assistance on environmental matters.
Maintain effective client communication and address their environmental needs.
Assist in the preparation of proposals.
Manage the implementation of regulatory approvals.
Skills/Qualifications:
Degree in a relevant environmental discipline.
Minimum of 5-7 years of post-graduate experience in an environmental or waste management position.
Chartered status in a relevant discipline is desirable.
Strong knowledge of planning, environmental, and waste management legislation.
Proven track record in contributing to the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports, planning, and license/permit applications for a wide range of projects.
Excellent attention to detail.
Flexibility and ability to work well in a team.
Excellent report writing and technical skills.
Full driver’s license.
