Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Waste & Environmental Compliance Consultant with strong expertise in EPA licensing and environmental regulatory compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior environmental professional with approximately 7–10+ years’ experience to advise clients across waste, industrial and other EPA-regulated facilities.
The role offers significant project ownership, direct client and regulator interaction, and the opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of environmental compliance projects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and prepare Industrial Emissions (IE), IPC and Waste licence applications, reviews and amendments.
Advise clients on EPA licence conditions and ongoing regulatory compliance.
Prepare and review environmental compliance documentation and regulatory reports.
Support Annual Environmental Reports (AERs) and other EPA reporting requirements.
Prepare and review ELRAs, CRAMPs, PRTR submissions and related technical documentation.
Conduct or support environmental compliance audits of licensed facilities.
Review licence conditions and recommend actions required to maintain compliance.
Assist clients with EPA queries, information requests and compliance matters.
Liaise directly with the EPA, clients and regulatory stakeholders.
Support environmental monitoring, incident investigations and corrective actions.
Manage project budgets, programmes, deliverables and client relationships.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior consultants.
Contribute to proposals, business development and service development.
About You
Approximately 7–10+ years’ relevant environmental experience.
Strong knowledge of Irish environmental legislation and EPA-regulated facilities.
Practical experience with IE, IPC and/or Waste licensing.
Experience preparing EPA reports and managing licence compliance.
Knowledge of AER, PRTR, ELRA and CRAMP requirements is highly desirable.
Experience conducting environmental compliance audits.
Strong client, regulator and stakeholder engagement skills.
Excellent technical report-writing and project management abilities.
Relevant degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Waste Management or a related discipline.
Experience in environmental consultancy or within an EPA-licensed facility will be considered.
