Structural Technician

About the Role

A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Structural Technician to join its Dublin team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician with strong BIM, Revit and AutoCAD experience to contribute to a diverse range of structural projects.

You will work alongside structural engineers and other design professionals on projects across education, healthcare, commercial, residential, life sciences and leisure sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist structural engineers with concept and detailed design development.
  • Prepare accurate structural engineering drawings and models.
  • Develop and maintain BIM/Revit models and documentation.
  • Produce drawings using AutoCAD and relevant structural design software.
  • Support the preparation of reinforcement and structural detailing using CADS RC.
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Ensure drawings and models meet project requirements and relevant standards.
  • Participate in design coordination and technical reviews.
  • Maintain accurate project information within the Common Data Environment (CDE).
  • Support the delivery of projects to agreed programmes, quality standards and deadlines.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant qualification in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and detailing.
  • Proven experience preparing structural drawings and models.
  • Good proficiency in Revit/BIM and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with CADS RC would be highly desirable.
  • Experience working within a BIM environment.
  • Good understanding of CDE processes and digital project workflows.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality technical work.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive, motivated and flexible approach.
  • Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team.
